/go/Why CrownPlay is not on Google Play
Google Play's policy blocks real-money gambling apps in most of Canada. Google runs a licensing programme in a short list of countries, and offshore brands serving Canadians almost never qualify - CrownPlay's own licence is reported two different ways (Anjouan by one review site, Curacao under Dama NV by another), which is nowhere near the paperwork Google demands. If you still install the APK - security steps
Get the file only from the CrownPlay site you reached through your own login, never a random forum mirror or shortened link. After the install, turn the Install unknown apps permission back off so nothing else can sideload silently. Keep Google Play Protect scanning on. And treat any APK that demands contacts, SMS or call-log permissions as a red flag - a casino wrapper needs none of that.

You get a full-screen icon that behaves like an app, updates itself because it is the live site, and never touches your security settings. What the wrapper does not change
An APK is a shell around the same site, so nothing about the games or the account improves by installing it.
